No seriously, the film was loaded properly, as far as I know, winding properly. I know my A-1 has a problem with winding - usually it jams and won't wind past 29 or so frames. It sucks, and it means I'm paying for, filmwise and development wise, 7 shots I can never use, but you know, the camera celebrated its thirtieth birthday in july, so it's allowed a couple of problems. For some reason though, every single frame before the last six was blank. I have no idea why, or how this could happened. I have a pile of unexposed negatives, and it really sucks. Also hope it won't happen again. Sucks, because I had some nice dramatic black and whites with loads of smoke with some classic steam-train action. Fairly sad at the loss of some of the photos, but you win some, you lose some I guess.
